prayer service for virginia tech massacre 4/19/2007

A small gathering of St Nick's members came to our candlelight memorial service on April 19, 2007, for the victims of the shootings at Virginia Technical University.

Pastor Hollis opened the service.

Youth minister Jeremy read general prayers for the victims and their families.

Votice candles flicker, one for each victim.

Congregation members took turns reading brief biographies of each victim, sharing their hopes, dreams and the kind of person they had been. The projector displayed their name, age, home, and where they were killed.

The full complement of lit votive candles after the service was complete.
